FOR ALL STUDENTS

Course Payment Schedule

Students have a choice of three payment plans and must commit to one at the time of registration.
Bills will be sent out at the end of each month and will go directly to the student, to the address indicated by the student. It is the student's responsibility to arrange payment for bills. Students are responsible for payment of all courses for which they have registered and for all accompanying fees.

Refund Policies

The following refund policy pertains to all students, full-time and part-time. 75% if the student has attended only the first scheduled class of a semester; 50% if the student has attended only the first and second scheduled classes of a semester; and 0% after the second scheduled class of a semester. Students are financially responsible for all classes that they select on the Course Offerings sheet. Students agree to pay in full for courses chosen, student activity fee, and materials/books/studio fees.

Registration Cancellation

Students who have not paid tuition and fees and who have not made arrangements for payment by the second week of classes will have all course registrations cancelled. They will, however, be responsible for all expenses incurred by HCA that are related to their intended Course Offerings sheet.

Library Fines

In addition to the HCA library, all HCA students will receive a library card for the Kennebunk Free Library. At the end of each term, HCA will receive a list of students who have outstanding book loans and fines from KFL and other libraries. Fines must be paid and books returned (or replaced) prior to issuing grades and transcripts.

Outstanding Debts

Students who have outstanding debts, including library fines and damage assessments, at the end of a semester will not receive grades and/or transcripts, nor will they be eligible for subsequent course registration and/or commencement until all financial accounts are paid in full.

Transcripts

Transcripts will be sent to a prospective employer, college admissions office, or other entities only when all financial obligations have been met.

Returning and Re-admitted Students

Students who are returning and/or who are re-admitted to HCA are required to pay all previous term's tuition, books, and fees prior to enrolling for a new semester.

Financial Dismissal

Students whose financial obligations remain unaddressed at the end of the fourth week of a semester may be dismissed from the College.
