Heartwood has 11,000 square feet of modern, well-equipped studio space, all on one floor.- Two painting studios
- A printmaking studio that has a number of presses for etching and woodblock, including a 16" Brandt printing press, a 24" Sturgis Press and a rare historical Acorn Press.
- A photography lab, including a ten student gang darkroom with individual work stations and a fully equipped studio with Tungsten lighting and electronic flash for portrait and commercial work.
- A ceramics studio with ten electric wheels, two electric kilns, a large gas-fired car kiln and an outdoor Raku kiln.
- Jewelry and metalsmithing rooms with equipment for casting, enameling and the tools for the making of all aspects of jewelry.
- A separate studio for the making of glass beads, which adds an exciting dimension to that area of study.
- Weaving facilities including 8 four, eight and sixteen harness looms as well as several table and tapestry looms.
- A recently-updated library, which functions as a community resource library.
- A comfortable communal kitchen which occupies the center of the building, where students can interact and cook together.
